Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”)

The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) is a leading worldwide organization for trust and estates professionals. On January 20, 2010, Managing Partner of Altro & Associates, David A. Altro, was invited to address the Ottawa branch on the subject of Cross Border Planning for Canadians with U.S. assets.
Being a STEP member himself, David relished the opportunity to address his peers and delivered an educational and lively presentation. The Ottawa crowd was filled with accountants, lawyers and investment advisors, some of which were ex-Montrealers. This gave David the opportunity to spend a few minutes stirring up the rivalry between Habs and Senator fans.

Once granted membership and given the professional designation TEP, members must maintain educational requirements to ensure they remain experts in the field. At Altro & Associates our associates strive to become leaders in their field of practice. Along with David, Partner Shlomi Steve Levy and Dan Derhy are affiliated with the organization as well.

We are pleased to annouce that David has been asked to write a new article appearing in the April edition of the STEP Journal, STEP’s official magazine. The magazine is published ten times a year and has a readership of more than 28,000 practitioners worldwide as well as key regulatory, government and industry figures.
